The Vintu de Jos - Simeria Railway Section
PROJET ELECTRIFICATION FERROVAIRE
The project involved the construction of a 42.2 km railroad line between Vintu de Jos and Simeria in Romania.
The project involved the construction of stations, bridges, signalling systems and related infrastructure.
The overall aim of the project was to improve mobility on the railroads along Pan-European Corridor IV, by modernizing the existing line.
The aim of this modernization was to increase train speeds, improve transport safety and protect the environment.
Technical characteristics
SDCEM supplied ALSTOM TRANSPORT with switches, disconnectors and electrical and manual controls for the project’s catenaries.
